Kinetic

Do you have a game-changing idea?

ANU Physics has partnered with the ANU MakerSpace, Wizer and Compton School to deliver KINETIC – an open search for game-changing new ideas.

WHO. The search is open to all ANU undergrads, postgrads, staff and alumni.

HOW. You can join the search by pitching an idea, or by joining a team working on an idea, or by voting on the ideas presented and giving feedback to the teams. Simply click the 'register' button above and you'll see the teams that have already started to post their ideas and are gaining support.

WHAT. Ideas can be anything in the arts, design, physics or engineering domain. They can have commercial or social applications. They can be systems, devices, materials, or processes. Surprise us!

WHEN: The search will run from November 2022 to June 2023.

WIN! There will be 4 awards each valued at $50,000. Winners will have the chance to develop their ideas using the world-class facilities at ANU Physics and MakerSpace.

INTERESTED IN VOTING? The teams have been shortlisted and now it’s time to vote! Voting will commence from 24th May 2023 and will remain open until 14th June 2023. Register here if you would like to vote. Kinetic invites members of the ANU Community to vote on the projects they think should receive funding. In this round, each voter will have 5 votes in total. You can allocate up to 3 votes to a single project. You will see there are also 5 survey questions about each project.  We encourage you to answer these questions. Your answers will give invaluable feedback to the teams.

WANT TO SEE THE FINAL PITCHES? Final pitches will take place on Friday, 23rd June at 4.30pm. Building 160, RS of Physics, R3.56, Physics Auditorium. 160 Mills Road, Acton.
