how it works

ANU MakerSpace is facilitating Kinetic, a funding opportunity aimed to foster novel social and commercial enterprises. This opportunity is open to all disciplines, staff and students. It provides up to $50,000 worth of funding and support up to 4 successful teams.

As part of the ANU Community, you can be part of the voting community.

To register as a voter, click 'Register' in the top right corner, then click 'I'm a Community Member', fill out your details and click the 'Register' button.

You will be allocated 5 votes to vote on whichever projects you like most. You can allocate up to 3 votes on a single project. You will see there are also 5 survey questions about each project. We encourage you to answer these questions. Your answers will give invaluable feedback to the teams. Voting opens 24th May and will remain open until 14th June 2023.

The votes will be used to narrow the field, leading to the final public pitching event in June 2023.

Just like other platforms, you will set yourself up with a username (your email address) and your own password. You can use this each time you log on to the platform. You can also follow prompts to ‘forgot password’ if you can’t remember, and change your password in your settings.

Once you are logged into the platform, you can view the projects. You can watch pitch videos, read the project synopsis, and find out about each team and the impact their project will have.

Once you are satisfied that you have an understanding of each project, you can cast your votes. Please decide carefully as you may not change your votes once they have been cast. You can leave comments on any project’s wall (it does not have to be only the projects you have voted for). You may also be able to provide assistance to the project on the team’s ‘wishlist.’ You can do this by making comments or offering suggestions.

Viewing, voting and commenting on the wall will be open from 23rd May to 14th June 2023.
